May 23, 1967 Drummer Phil Selway born in Hemingford Grey, Cambridgeshire.

April 15, 1968 Guitarist/back up vocalist Ed O'Brien born in Oxford.

October 7, 1968 Singer/guitarist Thom E yorke born in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.

June 26, 1969 Bassist Colin Greenwood born in Oxford.

1970s

November 5, 1971 Guitarist/keyboard player Jonny Greenwood born in Oxford

1980s

1980-1989 Yorke, Selway, O'Brian, and Colin Greenwood form a band, later joined by Jonny Greenwood. Calling themselves On A Friday, the band gains little recognition during most of their schooldays and into their college years.

1990s

1991 Renaming themselves after a Talking Heads song 'Radiohead', Radiohead is born. They cut a well received tape, 'Manic Hedgehog' and in September sign with EMI and parlophone.

May 1992 EMI releases debut single, 'Drill' to positive response in UK press.

September 1992 Second single, the infamous 'Creep' is released.

February 13, 1993 'Anyone Can play Guitar' reaches Number 32 on the UK charts.

March 6, 1993 Debut album 'Pablo Honey' is released. It reaches Number 25 on the UK charts and eventually turns gold.

May 22, 1993 'Pop Is Dead' single peaks at number 42.

May 29, 1993 Debut album goes straight to Number 184 on the US charts due to MTV airtime and live dates.

August 7. 1993 'Pablo Honey' reaches Number 32 on the US charts and goes on to sell two million around the world.

September 4, 1993 'Creep' single hits Number 34 on Hot 100 as a result of  heavy play on US college radio.

September 18, 1993 As a result world wide popularity, Parlophone decides to reissue 'creep' in the UK where it leaps to Number 7 on the charts.

February 1994 Radiohead begin recording new LP with veteran producer John Leckie.

May 27,1994 Show at London's Astoria is filmed for later release as a video.

June 26, 1994 Play closing day of Gastonbury Festival

August 27, 1994 performance at the Reading Festival.

October 8, 1994 'My Iron Lung' single goes to Number 24 in UK charts

November 1994 Work completed on second album at Abbey Road.

February 1995 Radiohead starts British tour including a homecoming show at Oxford Apollo with the Candyskins and Supergrass.

March 11, 1995 'High and Dry' single released. It reaches Number 17 in the UK.

March 25, 1995 'The Bends' album is released, hitting Number 6 in Britain.

June 3, 1995 'Fake Plastic Trees' single released, peaking at Number 20 in the UK.

July 29-30, 1995 Radiohead join REM tour and play two dates at Milton Keynes Bowl with Blur and the Cranberries.

August 1995 Dates across Europe with REM end in Tel Aviv where 'Creep' first became a popular hit.

September 2, 1995 'Just' single released. It makes it to Number 19 in Britain.

September 8, 1995 American leg of REM tour begins at Miami Arena.

September 1995 Go Discs! releases the 'Help!' album. Profits go to Bostonian charity War Child. Radiohead contributes 'Lucky'.

February 19, 1996 With coproducer Brian Eno, Thom Yorke receives Freddie Mercury Award at the annual Brit Awards for 'Help!'

February 1996 Radiohead announce that they will support Rock the Vote.

August 1996 Band begins 13date US tour with Alanis Morissette. Work on project for 'Romeo and Juliet'.

July 1 1997 Third album 'OK Computer' is released and receives great reviews.
